Mosaic on Wood Workshop Session 1

Session 1 Saturday, April 15, 4 to 6 PM
Session 2 Saturday, May 6, 4 to 7 PM
In this class you will learn about various tile, grout and mosaic surfaces and tools.
You will create a 12 x 12 inch mosaic on 3/4 inch plywood.
This class will take 2 sessions.
In the first session, you will transfer a design to the board, choose your tiles and learn how to cut, arrange and adhere tile to enhance the design.
You will then have ‘homework’ as you must complete the mosaic a minimum of 24 hours prior to the second class session.
In the second session you will learn how to grout and about different grouts for various surfaces and purposes.
Class includes all materials needed to complete this project. Participants will leave with a completed mosaic, wire and eye hooks to hang the mosaic, carbon paper, glue, and grout sponges.
