Artist Reception for Antione Williams’s “The Ain’t Gots” will be Friday, September 9, at the WIU Art Gallery. His work consists of beings inspired by personal experiences from a rural working class upbringing that relate to wider contemporary issues such as the perception of the Black image and income inequality. Williams will speak at approximately 5:15; light refreshments will be served. The exhibit is on display now through September 30.
